We youth leaders have facilitated sessions on Youth led awareness Raising campaign Covid 19 prevention measure and Human Rights issues
March 30, 2021
We youth leaders have facilitated 40 sessions Youth led awareness Raising campaign Covid 19 prevention measure and Human Rights issues Human Rights and the declarations of Indigenous Peoples Rights. We have arranged it between two upozila (sirajganj Sadar, Rayganj &Tsrash) of Sirajganj district among several ethnic minority groups. We have reached almost 1296 people in those two upozela. In those meetings, most of participants were women and a poor number of male participants were present there. There was a good number of children also involved and responded very well.
The significant change I have observed that when we asked to the participants that have you ever heard about Human Rights, most of them said ‘’No’’. And some places they told us that they never heard this word. But after the session they have learned and response very well which was remarkable breakthrough of this program. And the participants asked for us to arrange this type of program again in their locality. We have implemented this program by the collaboration of Sinnomul Mohila Somity (SMS) a local civil society organization of Gaibandha.. This program is supported by Human Rights Program, UNDP.
Md Imon Ali Mondol & Kolaboti mahato we both have run that program. It was such a wonderful experience in our life which made us more confident in our work. Thanks a lot to UNDP for gave us this tremendous opportunity which have enriched our experience.
